Hyper Planet is an Amsterdam-based progressive metal band that bridges Eastern and Western musical traditions through an innovative fusion of heavy, technical soundscapes and the organic resonance of Persian traditional instruments.

Founded by brothers Amin Saffar (guitar) and Armin Saffar (bass), the band also features musical contributions from their father, Ali Saffar (santur and qanun), creating a distinctive intergenerational collaboration that brings together progressive metal and Persian musical heritage.

Hyper Planet’s artistic vision, Dark to Light, explores the transformative power of music, blending intricate compositions, rich emotional contrasts, and immersive sonic storytelling into a distinctive musical identity.

Complex riffs, shifting time signatures, soaring guitar solos, and virtuosic bass performances intertwine with the melodic textures of the santur and qanun, creating a captivating sound that transcends conventional genre boundaries.

Based in Amsterdam, Hyper Planet continues to develop its distinctive musical identity, connecting audiences through adventurous compositions, cultural influences, and a shared passion for musical exploration.
